Chouranginath Hill Station is located near the Sonsal village in Kadegaon taluk of Sangli district of Maharashtra state, India. Due to the presence of Shri Chouranginath Temple on the top of this hill station, it is called Chouranginath Hill Station. This is both a tourist attraction place and a devotional place. This hill station is also called Chouranginath Ghat / Sonsal Ghat or Chouroba Dongar.

            Chouranginath Hills Station is a beautiful place situated in the lap of Sahyadri. While coming here, you will have a thrilling experience midway. While climbing Chouranginath Ghat you will have to face dangerous Hair Pin Bend Road Turns. This will challenge your driving skills. Driving in the mountains is also an amazing experience. You drive safely and reach the top safely.

            You get to see a beautiful view from the top of Chouranginath Hill Station. There is also a watch tower here. From here you can see the surrounding beautiful places such as Machindragad Fort, Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, Krishna River, and Shenoli Railway Station. Chouranginath Hill Station comes under the Forest Department. Therefore, gradually some new developments are also taking place here. There is also a VIP guest house here. This place is best for a day family picnic. You can also come here with your family. While coming, bring food and water from your home.

        Shri Chouranginath was a disciple of Shri Machhindranath and Gorakshanath. Chouranginath was also one of the 84 Siddhas of Navnath. It is said that at this hill station, Chouranginath had performed severe penance for 12 years with his cut-off hands and legs. That’s why his temple is there on this hill station. There is also some contradiction and difference of opinion on this. You ignore them and focus more on seeing the beauty of nature.
