Mythology of Lord Ugra Narasimha

Ugra Narasimha is the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The cruel demon Hiranyakashipu has received such a boon from Lord Brahma that no one can kill him. Neither inside the house nor outside the house. Neither during the day nor at night. Neither from any human nor from any animal. Nor with any weapon. Therefore, in the evening, Lord Vishnu, hearing the call of the devotee Prahlad, comes out of the pillar in the incarnation of the Angry Narasimha, takes Hiranyakashipu in his lap, sits on the threshold and kills Hiranyakashipu by tearing his stomach with his nails. Narasimha incarnation is the Man-Lion form. The Narasimha idol of this temple tells this mythological story. That is why it is called Ugra Narasimha temple or Jwala Narasimha temple.
